History
Yo Shine, Inc. is a tax-exempt 501c3 nonprofit. It was founded on March 28, 2022 by Tyjia Sherman with the goal of Economic Development, Leadership Development, and Community Development. Yo Shine, Inc. promotes diversity, equity, & inclusion.
Mission Statement
The mission of Yo Shine is to provide the assurance of vision, and positive self-esteem through education and exposure to life skills programs, in order to break the cycle of poverty by enriching literacy, economic development, leadership, and community development.
Vision Statement
Through targeted programs and initiatives, we aim to foster a sense of belonging, instill leadership qualities, and promote community development through vision related mission work. Allowing the next generation of leaders to feel safe, seen, heard, and respected within our schools and community. Through advocacy and private funding, Yo Shine vigilantly supports the next generation of visionaries and dreamers.
